I’m such a sucker for pretty boxes and bottles. I often don’t care what’s inside them, as long as the outside looks gorgeous. Am I shallow? Does it  matter? These are just a few of my favourite designs from a site that curates the best in packaging – see  more here

“A packaging redesign of “Frem” which is a Danish soft drink company. All the typography is hand drawn and the labels are white, painted directly on the bottle – reveal rather than hide. The twelve display fonts are made from associations, cliches, shapes and so on. Raspberry and pear are for instance inspired by the shape of the fruit/berry and cola is an American cliche with a typical western wood type.”

“Inspired by the old world utilitarian ideal of making something that is “built to last,” Izola Aesthetic Movement have curated a collection of whimsical objects with a masculine sense of antiquity.  Made with great care and attention to detail, this series of functional every day staples are designed to be perfect men’s gifts. The products include flasks, soaps, candles, laundry bags, bamboo toothbrushes, handkerchiefs, and brass desk objects”

“New Orleans–style coffee concentrate that’s brewed and bottled by hand in Brooklyn, New York. Each batch is made by steeping a special blend of freshly roasted coffee and chicory in water overnight, then removing the grounds using a two-step filtration process. What’s left? A bold, velvety-smooth liquid concentrate that can be mixed with milk or water—served over ice or steaming hot.”
