Wade home tour

There is something very special about small spaces – every square inch gets lived in, nothing is wasted and no surface is taken for granted. Brendan Wade (a colleague of mine at the Ideas Cartel) lives in a beautiful apartment with his husband on the slopes of Lion’s Head with incredible views of the city; only problem is that space is limited. So he commissioned me to make some more work surface available in his kitchen… and I must say the final result is pretty sexy – a copper frame with a black ash top.

Ps – also check out Brendan’s new summer rooftop pool and work space in de Waterkant Batstone Pool.

Absolutely adore this apartment! The dark color on the walls contrasting with the natural floors – very striking! Where’s the “chevron” carpet in the lounge from? Seen it in a few local publications, but nowhere do they say where it’s from? P
